Le motorhome box is the ideal solution for transporting bicycles in complete safety. The Cargo Box 3XL motorhome box allows you to transport up to 2 bicycles in complete safety and comfort. Compared with a conventional bike carrier, the motorhome box offers a number of advantages.

The motorhome box provides rigid protection for all types of bicycle (standard or electrically assisted). Securely stowed and secured inside the box, your bikes will be perfectly protected from dust, bad weather and malicious damage. The Cargo Box 3XL can be locked to secure the bikes inside.

In terms of design, our boxes for motorhomes are characterised by their modern, uncluttered design, in keeping with that of your motorhome. Our motorhome boxes have clean, fluid lines that blend harmoniously with the design of any type of motorhome. Made from white ABS PMMA, they will elegantly dress up your motorhome without detracting from its appearance.

Finally, the Cargo Box 3XL motorhome box has 2 bike rails fitted with wheel chocks and a lashing system to make it easier to install bikes. Each of the wheel chocks can slide independently along the rail, so they can be perfectly adapted to the wheelbase of the bike, for quick and efficient installation. Support bars are available in the motorhome box to help stabilise bikes during transport.

How do I fit a motorhome boot?

The boxes for motorhomes offered by Mecatek, formerly SAWIKO France, have been designed to be fitted to a load carrier, which acts as a support. A load carrier must be fitted to the motorhome before the storage box can be fitted. Compatible with the majority of motorhomes, Mecatek's load carriers feature chassis supports and a remote light strip (lights and indicators).

Before fitting the boot to the rear of the motorhome, you need to check a number of parameters, such as :

• - The total weight of the boot and payload (the Cargo Box 3XL has a payload of 80kg)
• - The weight of the support (the load carrier)

The idea is to ensure that your motorhome's GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) is not exceeded.
