Systems for bunkers

There are many ways to transport bicycles, motorbikes or scooters in a motorhome:
- Hitching a cross-trailer
- Attaching a motorbike or bicycle rack
- Fixing a motorhome boot
Each method has its advantages, but also its constraints. If the chassis of your motorhome does not allow the installation of a hitch, you will not be able to attach a trailer to your vehicle. Similarly, motorbike and bicycle racks are fitted to the chassis of the motorhome. It may be that the chassis of your vehicle is not compatible, or that the payload of this transport equipment is not sufficient for the weight of the two-wheeled vehicle you wish to transport.
If no transport system suits you, you can always use the garage hold of your motorhome (if it's big enough) to transport your bikes, motorbike or scooter. However, you will need to install a cargo bay system to securely fix your two-wheeled vehicle in the cargo bay of your motorhome. Sawiko France offers you different models of cargo hold systems so you can transport your bike or motorbike in optimum conditions.
What is the purpose of a motorhome garage hold?
All motorhomes have a load compartment, located on their overhang. The purpose of this compartment is to provide ample storage space for heavy or bulky items that cannot be stowed in the cab.
Garage holds are large enough to accommodate several bikes or even a motorbike.
Before choosing a cargo bay system to load your two-wheeler, make sure your motorhome's garage bay is big enough. To store a bike or motorbike, a 120 cm garage hold high is required.

Our range of hold systems includes two different models:
The choice of one of these hold systems will depend on the type of two-wheeler you wish to transport inside your motorhome.
The PROFIX luggage compartment system is a set of equipment for the safe loading of bicycles in the garage hold for a motor home. It includes the following accessories:
- 2 aluminium rails 2 m long and 5 cm wide for placing bikes on
- 4 lashing rings that you can position anywhere on the rail to secure your bikes.
- 2 securing straps to keep bikes in place during transport
The Kaléo system is not just reserved for motorhome holds. It can also be installed on converted vans or trailers that are compatible.
The Kaléo cargo bay system features an electric winch (supplied with remote control) that makes it easy to load your motorbike or scooter safely.
The loading ramp supplied has a payload of 370 kg. The load limit will therefore be determined by the load capacity of your load compartment. Remember to deduct the weight of the Kaléo system (70 kg) from the payload of your hold, so as not to exceed the maximum permissible weight of your motorhome.
You should also make sure that your motorhome is suitable for being fitted with a hold system like this (dimensions of the hold, authorised weight, lashing points, etc.). If in doubt, don't hesitate to contact us by phone or e-mail!
