It's essential to choose a motorbike carrier that's adapted to the technical characteristics of your motorhome. First of all, make sure that the chassis of your motorhome allows a motorbike carrier to be fitted. Many motorhome models are not originally fitted with a chassis extension, which makes fitting a motorbike carrier more complicated.

You will also need to pay particular attention to the following technical points:

• Your motorhome's payload (load capacity)
• The length of your motorhome's overhang (distance between the end of the original chassis and the plumb line of the rear bumper)

Before installing a motorbike carrier You must ensure that the total weight of your motorhome with the motorbike carrier and motorbike does not exceed its GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating). The length of your motorhome's overhang should also be taken into account when installing your motorbike carrier, to avoid any friction when driving over speed bumps in particular.
