Barrel spring
Discover our barrel springs
Good suspension gives a motorhome greater stability in a straight line. It also reduces roll in bends and roundabouts, and helps to improve overall comfort on board the vehicle, both when driving and when stationary.
Over time, a motorhome's suspension system wears out and becomes less able to absorb the vehicle's body movements, as well as the roughness of the road when it's in poor condition.
If your budget does not allow you to replace the suspension on your motorhome with air suspension, you can opt for the’installation of barrel springs on the front and rear axles of your motorhome.
Why install barrel springs on your motorhome?
A tonneau spring is a reinforcement spring added to the original suspension. It does not replace the original suspension, but complements it to improve the motorhome's roadholding. The tonneau spring allows you to restore your vehicle to its original position at a lower cost.
It is recommended that barrel springs be fitted to a motorhome when its front or rear axle is sagging. Installing a tonneau spring gives your motorhome a little extra height and flexibility, raising it by up to 50 mm. This will protect your motorhome's front axle when driving on rough roads.
By installing barrel springs on axles The new front and rear wheels will greatly improve your driving comfort, as well as your vehicle's roadholding. Your motorhome will be more stable both on straights and bends. The tonneau springs will absorb all the irregularities of the road, allowing :
- The wheels of your motorhome always remain in contact with the ground
- Cushion the impact of uneven roads
- Offer passengers greater comfort
- Protecting the motorhome's front and rear axles from impacts
