Installation of reinforced coil springs and Plug&Drive air suspension.
Youtuber Philippe DOUTEAU has had his converted van fitted with new Plug&Drive air suspension at the rear and reinforced coil springs at the front.
The assembly was carried out in the Mecatek workshop by Loïc, the expert in fitting technical products for leisure vehicles.
This took place in several stages:
- Partial removal of some front and rear suspension components
- Fitting of new reinforced coil springs at the front from the «Mille Pistes» kit»
- Fitting the compressor and air connections
- Fitting air bags on the rear axle to replace the suspension bumpers
- Pneumatic connection between the cushions and the compressor
- Installation of the control panel and electrical connection of the compressor
- Tests on roads and dirt tracks
This installation has considerably improved the comfort and capabilities of «Michel», Philippe DOUTEAU's converted van.
